Field Service Technician
Job Overview
We are looking for a mechanically inclined and reliable Service Technician to maintain, diagnose, and repair residential swimming pools, hot tubs and saunas. You will be the face of our company, ensuring our clients’ "private paradises" remain clean, safe, and fully operational.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnostics & Repair: Troubleshoot and fix issues with pumps, heaters, filtration systems, automation controls, plumbing, hot tubs, and saunas.
- Customer Service: Clearly explain repair options and costs to clients, providing advice on proper equipment upkeep.
- Documentation: Use mobile service software to log work performed, parts used, and customer interactions for billing and history.
- Maintenance & Cleaning: Perform routine "3 C’s" (Circulation, Cleaning, Chemistry) maintenance, including skimming debris, vacuuming, brushing surfaces, and cleaning filters.
- Water Chemistry: Conduct precise water testing (pH, chlorine, alkalinity) and apply necessary chemicals to ensure safe sanitization levels.
- Openings & Closings: Assist with seasonal pool openings (uncovering, equipment startup) and winterizations (draining lines, covering).
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Experience: 1–2 years in pool/spa service preferred, though entry-level training is available for motivated candidates.
- Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with basic plumbing, electrical systems, and hand/power tools.
- Certifications: Possession of a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) license is highly desirable. Not required
- Mobility: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record to operate company vehicles.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors year-round in various weather conditions.
- Capability to lift and carry equipment or chemical buckets weighing up to 50–75 lbs.
- Stamina for prolonged periods of standing, bending, and kneeling.
