Pool Service Manager

Compensation: $80,000 to $100,000 Annually

The assistant pool service manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of pool maintenance and service operations. This includes managing service technicians, following scheduling, coordinating jobs, ensuring high-quality service standards, maintaining customer satisfaction, and overseeing inventory, safety and compliance. We are seeking a proactive and experienced Assistant Service Manager for our residential service team. You will assist in overseeing the day-to-day service operations to ensure high-quality service, manage a team of field technicians, and maintain excellent customer satisfaction. As a key leader, you will be instrumental in ensuring efficiency during peak season and contributing to the company’s overall growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage a team of 6-10 pool and spa technicians, promoting a positive and high-performance work culture.
  • Work with coordinator to schedule and dispatch service technicians for pool cleanings, repairs, openings, and closings.
  • Oversee quality control to ensure all work meets company and customer standards.
  • Train, mentor and evaluate service technicians for performance and safety compliance.
  • Monitor job progress and performance throughout the day via phone, POM, and in-person check-ins.
  • Order supplies, chemicals, and replacement parts as needed.
  • Assist with quotes, invoices, and customer account management as needed.
  • Ensure technicians maintain clean, well-stocked service vehicles and have all the necessary parts and equipment.
  • Review completed jobs for quality, accuracy, and necessary follow-up.
  • Provide daily technical support to technicians in the field.
  • Perform and oversee complex diagnostics and repairs on pool equipment, including pumps, heaters, filters, and automation systems.
  • Conduct on-site visits for new customers and high-level service issues.
  • Build and maintain lasting relationships with clients.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years management experience in the pool service industry, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of pool systems, spa equipment, water chemistry, pumps, heaters, and automation equipment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Highly organized with strong time management skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage a high-volume workload, particularly during peak season.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or equivalent certification required.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
  • SP1 & SP2 CT service license
  • Bilingual preferred (English & Spanish)
  • Proficient in Pentair and Jandy systems

Work Environment:

Mostly field-based but must come into the office at some point every day for office responsibilities. Work may involve outdoor conditions, travel between job sites, and lifting or handling pool equipment and materials.
