Service Technician & Maintenance Manager

Tyler, TX, USA Full Time
Compensation: $55,000 Annually
Truck - Cell Phone - Computer - iPad - 50% Health Insurance Coverage


Service Technician

  • Driving the company vehicle to customer’s locations.
  • Get and Maintain CPO (certified pool operator) License and Texas Residential Appliance Installers License
  • Maintain company property
  • Maintaining equipment and chemical stock levels in storage and in the vehicle.
  • Using the website Skimmer to record pool cleanings, and work orders
  • Testing swimming pool water chemistry
  • Adding acid, chlorine, and other chemicals to correct chemistry.
  • Cleaning swimming pools using authorized equipment.
  • Servicing, replacing, or repairing pool equipment
  • Performing filter cleanings quarterly or as needed.
  • Servicing and fixing faulty pool cleaning equipment.
  • Minor plumbing and electrical
  • Completing paperwork and reporting service requirements to management.
  • Turning in recipes for equipment, fuel, or services bought with the company card to bookkeeper
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Maintenance Manager

  • Manage incoming service and maintenance leads, contact customers, schedule appointments, price jobs, prepare contracts, and secure new service and maintenance work.
  • Collect required down payments before work begins and final payments upon completion of the job.
  • Coordinate and order necessary equipment, parts, and materials needed for scheduled service work.
  • Maintain consistent communication with customers regarding scheduling, job status, changes, and follow-up items.
  • Follow up with customers approximately one week after service work is completed to ensure satisfaction and address any remaining concerns.
  • Review the schedule each evening for the following day and communicate any important details, changes, or special instructions to the appropriate technicians.
  • Check in with each technician daily at the beginning and end of the workday to confirm schedules, track progress, identify issues, and ensure proper completion of assigned work.
  • Track inventory of products and chemicals and reorder as needed.
  • Obtain and maintain a current CPO Certification.
  • Help maintain a professional, organized, and accountable service and maintenance department that supports the growth and reputation of the company.
