Managing Partner
Commercial Aquatics, a FirstService Brands company operating under The Amenity Collective, is one of the largest commercial aquatics management and maintenance companies in the country. Our American Pool brand has built a strong presence across major markets in the Eastern US, and we are now actively growing our footprint across Texas. With established operations in Houston and Dallas and a rapidly expanding presence in the Austin and San Antonio corridor, this is an exciting time to be part of a company that combines the resources of a national platform with the momentum of a regional growth story.
We are looking for a Managing Partner to lead our Austin, TX market and position American Pool as the premier commercial aquatics provider in one of the fastest-growing regions in the country. The Austin and San Antonio corridor represents a significant new chapter for our Texas operation, and this role is about building something from the ground up — with a strong national brand and established infrastructure behind you.
As the senior leader in Austin, you will also provide strategic and business oversight across our broader Texas footprint, supporting the performance and development of existing market operations in Dallas and Houston.. This is a role for someone who has built and led commercial aquatics businesses before, understands what it takes to win in a competitive market, and is ready to do it at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the P&L for the Austin and San Antonio markets, building the business from its current startup stage toward sustainable growth and profitability.
- Provide strategic business oversight across the broader Texas region, supporting the development, performance, and business discipline of existing market operations.
- Design and execute a go-to-market strategy for Austin and San Antonio, including client acquisition, staffing infrastructure, service delivery standards, and pricing.
- Build and lead a high-performing team, with direct accountability for recruiting, developing, and retaining management-level talent in the region.
- Drive financial discipline across all Texas markets, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, revenue growth, and margin management.
- Serve as the primary executive contact for high-value clients and key stakeholders in Austin and San Antonio, including HOA boards, country clubs, and commercial property managers.
- Conduct regular site inspections across all managed locations to ensure safety, service quality, and client satisfaction meet the company’s standards.
- Ensure full compliance with state and local regulations, OSHA requirements, and all company safety and operational policies across every site in the region.
- Translate strategic direction from the executive team into clear regional execution, maintaining alignment across all levels of the Texas operation.
- Identify and pursue growth opportunities across the Texas footprint, including new client acquisitions, service line expansion, and market development initiatives.
- Provide regular performance reporting on financial results, operational status, and market progress directly to the President of Commercial Aquatics.
- Attend board meetings and cultivate relationships with key decision makers and community leaders across the Austin and San Antonio markets.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive leadership experience in commercial aquatics management and/or maintenance; direct industry experience is required.
- Proven track record of owning P&L and delivering financial results in a multi-site or multi-market environment.
- Demonstrated ability to build a business from an early stage, not just manage an established operation.
- Strong financial acumen, including budget management, forecasting, cost analysis, and margin improvement.
- Experienced at leading and developing operational managers and building teams from the ground up.
- Exceptional client relationship and communication skills, with a track record of working directly with HOA boards, country clubs, and commercial property clients.
- Ability to travel regularly across the Texas region.
- BSc/BA in Business, Operations, or a related field preferred; equivalent leadership experience will be considered.
Physical Requirements
- Sitting, standing, and walking.
- Prolonged use of computers; use of hands and fine motor coordination.
- Working outdoors for extended periods of time.
