Hot Tub Service Technician

York, PA, USA Full Time
Compensation: $19 to $25 Hourly

We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair hot tubs, swim spas, and related equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, excellent customer service abilities, and the desire to provide exceptional support to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Service & Repairs

  • Diagnose and repair hot tubs, swim spas, and related equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, heating, and control system issues.
  • Perform warranty and non-warranty service calls.
  • Complete preventive maintenance inspections and repairs.
  • Replace pumps, heaters, control packs, sensors, jets, plumbing components, and other equipment as needed.

Customer Service

  • Educate customers on water care, maintenance, and operation of their spa.
  • Provide professional and courteous service during all customer interactions.
  • Communicate findings, repair recommendations, and service updates clearly.

Administrative Duties

  • Complete service tickets accurately and promptly.
  • Maintain service vehicle inventory and tools.
  • Document repairs, parts used, and warranty information.
  • Follow company safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and manage daily service schedules.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in hot tub, pool, spa, HVAC, appliance repair, electrical, plumbing, or similar service industries.
  • Basic electrical knowledge including 120V/240V systems.
  • Plumbing and water circulation system experience.
  • Experience reading wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
  • Certified Pool & Spa Operator (CPO) certification or willingness to obtain.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent lifting, bending, kneeling, and climbing.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to safely move and maneuver spa equipment and components.
  • Ability to drive a company vehicle throughout the service area.
