Position Purpose:

The Margin Manager role at SRS Heritage Group is focused on the strategic enhancement of profitability of Heritage Family of Companies. The position requires collaboration with brand teams to identify, prioritize, and implement pricing strategies that optimize margins, coupled with delivering insights and tracking the impact of these initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Pricing and working closely with Heritage leadership, the Margin Manager will act as a trusted advisor, leveraging advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong business acumen to drive margin improvements, influence decision-making, and uphold financial accountability for gross margin percentages across the business portfolio.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate proactively with brand teams to identify, prioritize, and implement pricing strategies that enhance margins across the irrigation business segment, ensuring alignment with corporate profit objectives.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive margin performance tracking systems, utilizing advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting to provide actionable insights to senior management.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on margin enhancement initiatives, leveraging strong business acumen and industry expertise to influence decision-making and drive effective pricing strategies.
  • Lead the analysis of market trends and competitor pricing, utilizing data-driven insights to recommend strategic adjustments to optimize profitability and sustain competitive advantage.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting on margin metrics, facilitating transparent communication of performance results to key stakeholders, thereby driving informed business decisions.
  • Advocate for a culture of continuous improvement in margin management processes, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify and implement optimization opportunities.
  • Direct the evaluation and application of Agility software tools, where applicable, to streamline pricing operations and enhance the efficiency and accuracy of margin management activities.


Reporting Structure:

  • The Margin Manager within the SRS Heritage Group operates under the direct supervision of the Director of Pricing. The role also holds indirect responsibility to the Heritage leadership team, reflecting its pivotal position in supporting broader strategic objectives.


Direct Reports:

  • Currently, the position does not have direct reports. There exists potential for direct reports in the future, contingent upon business needs and organizational growth.


Travel Requirements:

  • The Margin Manager at SRS Heritage Group is required to travel for 2-3 days every two weeks, totaling 20-30% of the time, to support margin enhancement initiatives within the Irrigation business.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) is advantageous.:
  • A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in pricing, margin management, or a similar role with a focus on profitability enhancement.
  • Previous experience in the Irrigation Supply Industry is preferred.


Technical Proficiencies:

  • Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, complex formulas, and macro development.
  • Proficiency with the broader Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with Agility software is a plus.

Minimum Education:

The base salary for this position typically falls within the range of $88,200-$116,850 annually. Starting wage may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. SRS Distribution offers additional competitive and non-financial benefits. Depending on the role, associates may also be eligible for performance-based bonus programs, commissions, profit-sharing programs, car allowance or automobile and fuel program, and reimbursement for travel expenses in accordance with company travel policy.
